Tokyo, Japan 2015: Tokyo Gransta (Part 10)

Day 4 (1st stop):

Tokyo Gransta. May 14, 2015.

It's our fourth day going all over the place so now we have to reload our cards. We're in for a long subway ride this time because the destination is Tokyo Disney Sea, which is located in Uruyasu, Chiba, outside the metropolitan borders of Tokyo. But first, we spend some time in Tokyo Gransta, the largest in-station shopping area (ekinaka) beneath Tokyo Station. It houses more than 60 sixty stores that offer a wide selection of on-the-go food, travel necessities, and even gifts!

Ueno station.

Look at that map. Those lines are dizzying, but manageable :P

Reloading and customer service center.

Of course, we needed to have a photo there.

After reloading our cards, off we go to Tokyo Station!

People are still sleepy except for us haha

And we arrive!

Tokyo Station is filled with restaurants and shops...

The Gin no Suzu (the Silver Bell) marks the center of the Station that doubles as a shopping center. It's a great meeting place since it's easily found.

Since we wanted to try on-the-go traditional Japanese food, we decided to have lunch at this place ^ which offers onigiri with different fillings.

Just look at all the selection.

See that octopus tentacle peeping out? Yummy!

+ Que Kiam and meatballs to break the taste of onigiri.

It doesn't look like much, but it was a definitely filling lunch!

Donuts are looking good.

Aside from stores that offer food, there's also shops that
resemble mini-department stores like this one.

Something quite noticeable in Japan: all things are pretty <3

Convenience is prioritized in the life of the Japanese as evident in the train stations.

After this quick stop, we head to Tokyo Disney Sea in the next post!
